In January 2016, our family faced the tragedy of losing our youngest son. Solomon was struggling with mental health issues and was just fourteen years old when he took his life. Solomon was a kind, funny, gentle soul who was (as his friends and classmates will tell you) a good friend to all.
In Solomon’s honor we have created Solomon’s Song. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to creating conversations that promote healthy living, celebrating diversity and stomp out stigma. We, along with Solomon’s siblings, Samuel and Taycier, are dedicated to bringing people together to enjoy activities and programming that foster friendships and fortify our belief that we are all more alike than we are different.
