More than 400 people gathered for a John McCutcheon benefit concert and health fair at Winona State University. John McCutcheon, a master instrumentalist, powerful singer-songwriter, storyteller, activist and author, provided a beautiful evening of singing and storytelling that delighted his audience—young and old. John’s sister, Patty McCutcheon interpreted the performance in American Sign Language
In an effort to create conversations that promote healthy living, celebrate diversity and reduce stigma, a health fair featuring local mental health care organizations as well as organizations that promote healthy living such as acupuncture, meditation, massage, healthy eating, dance and more, preceded the concert.
All proceeds of the concert are being used to promote mental health awareness, suicide prevention and celebrating diversity
